A Truce... for Now
Episode 3 of High School Return of A Gangster throws us into the aftermath of Yi-heon's brutal takedown of his bullies. The teachers, initially shocked by the display of violence, offer Yi-heon a chance to finally bring them to justice through the school violence committee. However, Yi-heon, ever the pragmatist, devises a different approach.
A New Agenda
Yi-heon realizes expulsion wouldn't stop these bullies from preying on others. Instead, he decides to keep them in check, building a reputation that both awes and confuses his classmates.
Meanwhile, Yi-heon creates a list of goals for himself: dealing with the bullies, protecting his mom, graduating, and making friends. Se-kyung, still suspicious of the "new" Yi-heon, seeks outside confirmation, only to be baffled by DNA results that prove Yi-heon's identity.
Unveiling Secrets, New Alliances
Yi-heon confronts Jae-min, uncovering the truth about Se-kyung's past intervention and subsequent frustration with Yi-heon's silence. This revelation opens the door for a fragile truce between Yi-heon and Se-kyung.
On another front, Dong-soo, the new gang leader, sets his sights on a mysterious mission that requires additional manpower. Meanwhile, Jae-min, desperate for a sense of belonging, inadvertently gets entangled in the gang's plans, becoming an unwitting accomplice in a kidnapping attempt aimed at Yi-heon.
A Question of Memory
As Yi-heon and Se-kyung begin studying together, a new challenge arises. Se-kyung, desperately seeking to untangle the truth, discovers a discrepancy – Yi-heon doesn't remember his allergy to pineapples. This incident fuels Se-kyung's doubts, leading to a tearful confession. He blames himself for abandoning the real Yi-heon and yearns to make amends.
Despite remaining tight-lipped about the truth, Yi-heon makes a promise to Se-kyung. He offers him a chance to finally apologize – but only when the real Yi-heon returns. Touched by Yi-heon's words and motivated by the hope of redemption, Se-kyung agrees to help Yi-heon, albeit with a condition – they'll focus on their studies first.
The Plot Thickens
As Yi-heon strives to navigate his new life, a sinister plot unfolds. With Dong-soo unable to participate in the mission, Jae-min finds himself thrust into a dangerous world, unknowingly playing a role in a shocking kidnapping attempt.
