Episode 5 of Back to 15 Season 2 picks up with Adult Anita finding herself in
Buenos Aires, where she reconnects with Camilla, a fellow writer who has never
ceased her craft. Camilla reveals that Imperatriz, Anita's beloved hometown, is
up for sale. This news stirs Anita's conscience, prompting her younger self to
take action and return home to save her cherished house.
Upon her return, Anita discovers that her mother has rented out a few rooms and taken up yoga. She also encounters Joel, who reveals his own journey and decision to wait for her in Imperatriz for six months. Although Anita is hesitant to travel again, Joel convinces her of the importance of her mission.
SISET, once a vibrant school, is now in a state of neglect. Carol, now the school's gym teacher, works alongside Douglas but seems resigned to the school's impending closure. Seeking answers, the group turns to Henrique, who shares his story of giving up music after accidentally sending the wrong CD. He now works with a consortium from Belo Horizonte, aiming to transform Imperatriz into a miniature Paris.
Driven by their passion for their hometown, the group, consisting of Luiza, Carol, Douglas, Anita, Joel, and Fabricio, gathers at Luiza's cafe for a night of tequila shots and impulsive decisions. They hatch a daring plan: to destroy the mini Eiffel Tower that the consortium has erected in their city. With Joel's van, they successfully pull down the iconic structure, leading to their arrest for vandalism.
At the police station, the group discovers a shocking truth: Eduardo, the mastermind behind the consortium, has amassed his wealth through a series of lucky bets, all thanks to Joel's notebook, which contains predictions for the FIFA World Cup.
Anita, however, remains hesitant to continue her mission. Joel, however, insists that certain events are predetermined, urging her to save the city and change the lives of their friends. In a pivotal moment, Joel punches Eduardo, who had initially decided to let the group go for destroying his property. However, Eduardo changes his mind, and Joel and Anita make a daring escape. The rest of the group engages in a fierce brawl with Eduardo's henchmen, buying time for Joel and Anita to flee.
