While the walrus is unable to remove Edwin's bracelet, he does provide them with an enchanted jar that emits soothing ocean sounds.
Seeking medical attention for Niko, the trio visits a doctor, but the examination reveals no physical abnormalities. With Niko's case firmly rooted in the supernatural realm, Edwin agrees to investigate. Their inquiries lead them to discover that Niko is harboring paranormal parasites known as Dandelion Sprites, tiny creatures that reside in her brain and feed off attention and adoration.
As the investigation progresses, Niko reveals her struggles with grief following her father's death and her difficulties adjusting to life in the United States after moving from Japan. Crystal, in turn, shares her own struggles with memory loss and the inability to recall her past.
Edwin, communicating through Crystal since Niko cannot see ghosts, begins his interrogation. They learn that Niko's fainting spells commenced after she visited a nearby woods containing a mysterious shrine. Edwin and Charles venture into the woods to uncover the truth behind the Dandelion Sprites. Their exploration leads them to discover that the Sprites are "small gods who require constant sacrifices" and can only be contained through the shrine's enchanted vessel. However, Charles' clumsiness results in the vessel's destruction and the loss of its contents.
Meanwhile, in the Department of Afterlife's Lost and Found Department, the Night Nurse, tasked with retrieving misplaced souls, prepares her case for reclaiming Edwin and Charles.
Upon returning from the woods, Edwin and Charles explain the nature of ghosts to Niko, who, despite her initial disbelief, accepts their explanation. Charles suggests using the enchanted jar as a substitute for the destroyed vessel, and they carefully transfer the contents into the jar.
Niko's condition takes a dramatic turn as the Sprites, enraged by the loss of their sanctuary, threaten to kill her if their demands are not met. Crystal proposes a risky solution: allowing the Sprites to inhabit her body, thereby granting them access to both the living and the dead worlds and ensuring a constant supply of attention.
Two diminutive figures with dandelion caps emerge from Niko's mouth and approach Crystal, but Charles swiftly traps them within the enchanted jar, silencing their torrent of profanity. The episode concludes with Niko's hair inexplicably turning white, a consequence of her near-death experience. Despite the potential danger, she decides to keep the Dandelion Sprites as her peculiar "pets."
