During her interview with Norma Callahan and George Adjei, Lucinda's composure crumbles. Her explanation regarding the anonymous call and the redacted portions of her medical records raise suspicion. She reveals a traumatic experience during the pandemic where she was blamed for a series of COVID-related deaths. This incident raises questions about her mental state and professional judgment.

At the Patient Care Awards, tensions escalate as Lucinda attempts a façade of normalcy. Her interaction with Professor Corrine Lonergan, who reveals a similar past experience, offers a glimmer of understanding. However, the award win turns sour when Dr. Mike Willett expresses his disapproval of her presence.

Back at the hospital, Lucinda's desperation grows. She secretly accesses Edith's medical records and steals Rob's phone, frantically searching for evidence to clear her name. Her dependence on prescription medication becomes increasingly evident, hindering her ability to function effectively.

A new case of a severe opioid overdose thrusts Lucinda back into action. While successfully treating the patient, her behavior mirrors some of the red flags raised during Edith's case. This fuels the suspicions of Dr. Ramya Morgan, who agrees to help George with the investigation.

The episode ends with a bombshell discovery. Lucinda retrieves Rob's phone from the repair shop, revealing a disturbing truth. Messages expose Rob's over-prescribing practices and a potential connection to a clinic with an unknown agenda. Lucinda's world continues to crumble as she realizes the extent of Rob's involvement and the danger it poses to both of them.
