Assembling a ragtag crew:

Their plan requires an unlikely team. Faced with Superman's absence, Lois seeks help from Livewire, a formidable electrokinetic villain. Jimmy offers a hefty sum that convinces the reluctant Livewire to join the mission. Her fire-wielding partner, Heat Wave, initially disapproves of the risky plan and leaves them to their own devices.

The heist goes sideways:

Looking to bolster their expertise, Lois and Jimmy call upon Mallah, the super-intelligent gorilla, and Brain, his telepathic companion. The duo, tired of encountering alternate versions of themselves in the multiverse, readily agree to assist. However, unforeseen complications arise. The increased security measures at STAR Labs implemented by Lex Luthor thwart Brain's attempt to erase their presence from the security cameras. Meanwhile, Waller and Deathstroke show up for an inspection, adding another layer of tension.

Escape and a surprising twist:

Deathstroke ambushes them, triggering a lockdown. In the ensuing chaos, Lois and Jimmy lose track of Mallah and Brain while Livewire decides to ditch them altogether. Just as all hope seems lost, Lois and Jimmy manage to evade Deathstroke and reach the Jump Drive ship. However, their spirits plummet as they discover the ship is stripped of essential components. Lois, burdened by her recent break-up with Clark, despairs of finding him.

Unexpected heroes emerge:

Just when Lois and Jimmy are at their most vulnerable, Brain and Mallah reappear. They reveal they weren't abandoning the mission but rather gathering supplies. With their combined skills and Mallah's unexpected ingenuity, they manage to get the ship operational.

However, a new threat emerges – Lex Luthor activates Project M, unleashing a squadron of Metallo cyborgs powered by Kryptonite fragments. As the Metallos attack the ship, Livewire and Heat Wave unexpectedly come to their rescue. It turns out, Livewire's plan all along was to exploit the commotion and steal technology from STAR Labs. However, upon witnessing Lois's emotional plea about Clark, Livewire and Heat Wave have a change of heart and choose to save them.

A bittersweet victory:

With Livewire's help, they manage to disable the Metallo cyborgs, allowing them to escape Earth's atmosphere. As they head into space, Lois and Jimmy bid farewell to their unlikely saviors who disappear into the vastness. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor, although unsuccessful in activating Project M to its full potential, impresses Waller with the robots' resilience against alien technology. Waller prioritizes the project, foreshadowing future threats.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger. Lois and Jimmy find themselves face-to-face with Kara, mirroring the ending scene of Episode 6. However, this time, we have witnessed the perilous journey that led Lois and Jimmy to this point. Jimmy even reveals his date with Kara, hinting at a potential connection between them. The stage is set for a dramatic confrontation with Kara, and the possibility of Lois using Kryptonite remains a looming threat.
