The episode opens with Kim and Eun-hyuk, who have narrowly escaped the clutches of the Bamseom Monster Humans (MHs), seeking refuge in an abandoned church. Eun-hyuk, severely injured and on the brink of death, reveals his true identity to Kim. He is the same Eun-hyuk who was part of the group that attacked Mystery Girl in the previous season.

Eun-hyuk's confession is met with shock and disbelief by Kim. However, before they can delve further into this revelation, a monstrous creature emerges from Eun-hyuk's body, forming a cocoon around him. The monster, seemingly under Eun-hyuk's control, bows to Kim, leaving him bewildered.

Meanwhile, back at Bamseom, Tak confronts Ji, the former stadium chief, about her betrayal. He reveals that she had abandoned her son, Hyeon-u, in the stadium basement, leading to his death. Ji, consumed by guilt and regret, admits her actions and expresses her willingness to help Tak and the survivors escape Bamseom.

At the stadium, Yeong-su forms an unlikely bond with Mystery Girl, offering her a sense of belonging and acceptance. However, their peaceful interaction is shattered when Sang-won, claiming to be Mystery Girl's father, arrives and whisks her away.

Sang-won's true intentions are far from paternal. He sees Mystery Girl as the perfect vessel for his monstrous ambitions, recognizing her unique ability to control monsters. He takes her on a drive, revealing his desire to possess her powers and rule over the monstrous world he has created.

Back at Bamseom, Chi-seong, the leader of the MHs, grows suspicious of Sang-won's motives. He orders Jae-jin to follow Sang-won and Mystery Girl, fearing a betrayal. Meanwhile, Ja-yeong, tasked with eliminating the survivors at the stadium, spots Seon-hwa attempting to escape and drags her to Peter, the MH who has taken over the stadium's security.

Ha-ni, still grieving the loss of Ho-sung, struggles with her addiction to the special leaves that help suppress monsterization symptoms. She finds solace in Chan-young's presence, who offers her unwavering support.

Meanwhile, Eun-yu, determined to rescue Yi-kyung from the stadium, sets out on a mission. However, she is unaware of the dangerous path she is about to tread.

Left alone, Hyun-su's monstrous alter ego takes control, reveling in its newfound freedom. He engages in a conversation with Chan-young, probing her feelings for Human Hyun-su. The tension between the two sides of Hyun-su's personality intensifies, hinting at an impending conflict.

As Eun-yu ventures towards the stadium, she encounters Sang-won and Mystery Girl. Sang-won, eager to demonstrate his power, orders Mystery Girl to summon a monster. Mystery Girl, eager to please her newfound "father," complies.

With a single gesture, Mystery Girl summons a colossal mountain monster, its towering form casting a shadow over the landscape. The appearance of this monstrous creature signifies the growing threat posed by the monsterization and the immense challenges that lie ahead for the survivors.

The episode concludes with a cliffhanger, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats as they anticipate the consequences of Mystery Girl's actions and the impending clash between the survivors and the monstrous forces.

Sweet Home Season 3, Episode 3 continues to build upon the established world, introducing new characters and deepening the complexities of existing ones.
