The second episode of The Outlaws' thrilling third season throws our heroes into deeper turmoil. Rani Rekowski (Rhianne Barreto) finds herself on the run from the police after DS Selforth (Kojo Kamara) discovers the murder weapon – the knife used to kill Smiler (Rhys Yates) – in her bag.

Meanwhile, The Dean (Claes Bang) simmers with fury behind bars. Framed for drug possession by Rani and the crew, he faces financial losses and a power struggle within his criminal empire. To add insult to injury, he unleashes a terrifying threat against John Halloran's (Darren Boyd) family, raising the stakes even higher.

Desperate for a way out, The Dean orchestrates a prison attack, showcasing his ruthlessness and strength. He also unleashes his lawyer, targeting John with a chilling threat delivered while John is simply driving his taxi.

The situation goes from bad to worse as Ben (Gamba Cole) finds himself under arrest. DS Selforth confronts Sgt. Haines (Grace Calder) about her role in planting the drugs, leading them to Ben's doorstep. With the murder weapon in her possession, Rani has no choice but to flee.

However, a glimmer of hope emerges amidst the chaos. Rani, in a moment of clarity, reveals the address of a storage facility mentioned by Smiler. This facility could hold the key to their safety once The Dean is released. But there's a catch – accessing the storage unit requires Smiler's fingerprints.

Driven by desperation, John, Greg (Stephen Merchant), and Myrna Okeke (Clare Perkins) resort to a grim act. They unearth Smiler's body and resort to a gruesome solution – chopping off his fingers. Their morbid plan is tragically disrupted when a dog walker stumbles upon the scene, alerting the police.

As the authorities descend, Burgess (Ricky Grover) joins the investigation, adding another layer of complexity. He and Selforth interrogate Ben, further straining the situation. Just when things seem utterly hopeless, Greg manages to secure Ben's release.

Meanwhile, a secret meeting takes place. Rani reveals a truth bomb to Greg and John – Burgess was the one who killed Smiler.

On a different front, a flicker of hope ignites. John and Myrna reach the storage facility and, using the severed fingers, gain entry to a specific locker. Inside, they discover a mobile phone. This seemingly mundane device holds an unexpected treasure – a lone video recorded by Smiler.

In the video, Smiler addresses his girlfriend, revealing the existence of a hard disk containing evidence of The Dean's criminal activities. This hard disk could be the ultimate weapon, turning the tables and offering the group a chance at defeating The Dean and achieving some semblance of safety.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with The Dean seemingly on the verge of release and the fate of the community service crew hanging in the balance. Will the hard disk prove to be their salvation, or will they be forced to confront The Dean's wrath? Only time will tell in the next chapter of The Outlaws' thrilling saga.
