The first season of Arcane, which premiered in November 2021, was a huge success, winning numerous awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Series. The series is based on the popular video game League of Legends, and tells the story of two sisters, Vi and Jinx, who are caught in the conflict between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun.

The season 2 trailer has already been released, and it shows that Vi and Jinx will be facing even more challenges and dangers in the second season. New characters will also be joining the story, including Jayce, Viktor, and Caitlyn.

Here are some of the things we know about Arcane Season 2:

In addition to the trailer, there have been a few other new pieces of information released about Arcane Season 2:

A poster has been released that shows Vi and Jinx standing back-to-back with a rift between them, symbolizing the fractured relationship between the two sisters.

Stills from the season have also been released, which show Vi and Jinx's new looks, Jayce, Viktor, and Caitlyn in action, and some new locations.

The creators of Arcane, Christian Linke and Alex Yee, have been interviewed by a few different outlets, and they have revealed some details about the story and characters of the second season.

Based on this information and the interviews, we can expect Arcane Season 2 to be an even more exciting and emotional animated series than the first season. It will continue to explore the complex relationship between Vi and Jinx, and it will delve deeper into the world of League of Legends.

Here are some of the details revealed in the interviews:

Season 2 will likely focus on the civil war that erupts between Piltover and Zaun. The creators used the word "war" to describe the second season.

The phrase "crossing the Rubicon" may be a metaphor for what happens in this season. In history, Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon River led to civil war.

There will be flashbacks in Season 2. These flashbacks could show Vander and Silco's relationship when they were younger, or Silco and Jinx's relationship during the time jump in Season 1.

Mel Medarda may return in Season 2, even though she was in the building that Jinx blew up at the end of Season 1.

The creators are aware that fans don't want the story to rush, so they're focused on Piltover and Zaun for now. However, they mentioned that Ionia and Noxus are regions they're interested in adapting in the future.

They also hinted that they might introduce a new villain to take over Silco's role.
