The Frog Season 1, Episode 7: Well See the End Together - A Twisted Web of Lies and Betrayal

Episode 7 of The Frog brings the series to a thrilling climax, unraveling the intricate web of lies and deceit woven by the characters. The episode explores the depths of human darkness and the devastating consequences of unchecked revenge.

The episode begins with Yeong-ha breaking down in the hospital, consumed by guilt and regret. Meanwhile, Sung-a arrives at an art gallery, unaware of the impending confrontation.

Jae-sik, Sung-a's estranged partner, unexpectedly appears, throwing her off guard. His release from prison ignites a heated exchange, escalating into a physical altercation. Jae-sik accuses Sung-a of murdering Si-hyeon, believing she is responsible for their child's death.

We learn that Si-hyeon's birth mother abandoned him at birth, leaving Sung-a to assume the role of his adoptive mother. Despite her attempts to deny any involvement, Sung-a's actions raise suspicions. She sets off a fire alarm and hides in an office, creating a scene that attracts attention.

Jae-sik assaults Sung-a, leaving her unconscious. A group of witnesses observes the commotion, and Jae-sik flees the scene. Sung-a, recovering from her injuries, returns to the gallery and deliberately crashes her van into the exhibit.

She then seeks out Dr. Yoo, demanding that he detain Jae-sik for a few days. After leaving the gallery, Sung-a's erratic behavior continues as she throws her bloodied shirt onto the lights, drawing Gyeong-nam's attention.

Yong-chae, growing increasingly annoyed by Sung-a's presence at the Rental Motel, offers to pay her off. However, Sung-a refuses, leading to a confrontation that ends in violence. Sung-a stabs Yong-chae in the back and beats him with his crutches.

Sung-a's destructive actions lead her to a supermarket, where she purchases items such as bleach, barbecue charcoal, and chlorine. Bo-min, coincidentally shopping at the same time, witnesses Sung-a's unusual behavior.

The episode shifts to a field, where Bo-min follows Sung-a. Gyeong-nam calls Bo-min to report something suspicious. As Bo-min leaves, Ui-seon receives a message about her father's deteriorating health. Unbeknownst to her, Yong-chae is tied up and gagged in the basement.

Sung-a invites Ui-seon inside for a drink and deceitfully claims that she and Yeong-ha are accomplices in Si-hyeon's murder. Ui-seon, however, is not easily fooled. She confronts Sung-a and saves Yong-chae from his captivity.

A fierce struggle ensues between Sung-a and Ui-seon, resulting in Ui-seon's death. Sung-a hides Ui-seon's body in a red suitcase.

The episode flashes back to the end of the previous episode, where Sung-a is covered in blood and goads Yeong-ha to return. Yeong-ha, armed with a rifle, confronts Sung-a at the pool.

Yeong-ha reveals that he planned to sell the rental motel to Sung-a until her erratic behavior made him reconsider. Sung-a, in turn, offers him a deal: she will leave the country and ensure Ui-seon's safety if he keeps his mouth shut about the attacks on Yong-chae and Si-hyeon.

Yeong-ha, torn between his desire for justice and the safety of his friends, receives a call from Bo-min. After a moment of hesitation, he ignores the call, choosing to protect Ui-seon and Yong-chae.

Sung-a agrees to let Yeong-ha see Ui-seon before she leaves. However, when they arrive at the dock, the red suitcase is empty. Yeong-ha has outsmarted Sung-a, and Bo-min arrives with the police to arrest her.

Yeong-ha learns that Bo-min and Gyeong-nam worked together to set a trap for Sung-a. Ui-seon, though injured, is alive and safe. Yeong-ha, overcome with relief and guilt, breaks down at the hospital. Bo-min offers him support and reassurance.

The episode concludes with a cliffhanger as Yeong-ha reveals to Bo-min that he believes Sung-a has murdered someone. Someone else arrives at the Motel basement, grabbing the rifle. The identity of this person remains a mystery, setting the stage for the final episode.
