Old Mike had figured out the operation method and route of Hector's funds. When the refrigerated truck crossed the U.S.-Mexico border again, Old Mike, wearing a ski mask and with a pistol tucked in his waist, got ready on the truck's route. As he watched the refrigerated truck approaching, he yanked a rope, and a makeshift roadblock made of rubber hoses and iron nails blocked the middle of the road. By the time the driver noticed the row of iron nails ahead, it was too late to brake—the tires were punctured, and the truck lost control and crashed into the side of the road. Old Mike bound the driver's hands and feet with tape, covered his eyes and mouth, then took out an electric cutter and looted the $250,000 in drug money hidden in the tires, which even the border inspectors hadn't found.

Old Mike left the driver at the robbery scene, hoping someone would find him and call the police, so the police could follow the clues and catch Hector. But man proposes, God disposes—there was no relevant report in the newspaper the next day. Just as Old Mike was wondering, he received a call from Nacho, who arranged to meet him at a remote factory area. Nacho knew clearly that Old Mike was the one behind this. Robbers who dared to rob drug dealers were all ruthless killers who wouldn't blink an eye—how could they have left the driver alive? The only person capable of doing this and unwilling to shoot and kill was Old Mike. Nacho didn't care about the money Old Mike had stolen; he only worried about one thing: Hector would torture the driver to find out if he was an accomplice or if he could identify the robber. If the driver said anything and Hector caught Old Mike, Nacho might be implicated. Old Mike believed he had done everything perfectly and that Hector could never find him, but he didn't understand why no one had called the police. It was only when Nacho heard Old Mike's words that he realized there was another purpose behind this matter. He firmly opposed getting the police involved to deal with Hector, otherwise he would also end up in jail. As for why no one had called the police, Nacho gave Old Mike the answer before leaving: the "kind person" who found the driver had already been buried in the desert. Since one plan failed, Old Mike decided to think of another way—he had to get rid of Hector once and for all.

Meanwhile, Jimmy was hiding near Chuck's house, waiting for Chuck and Howard to go to the court (so the house would be empty) so he could sneak in. Chuck was going to the court in person this time for Mesa Verde Bank's expansion application motion. To set up branches in other states, the bank must comply with the relevant legal provisions of both this state and the states where the branches would be located. Chuck had made thorough preparations, and the application documents were well-written; passing the review of the Banking Regulatory Commission should be no problem.

Before the hearing started, an acquaintance on the podium greeted Chuck, which made Kevin and Paige even more reassured. But just as the hearing was about to end, the clerk found that the branch address on the submitted official application materials did not match that on the original intent application materials. Chuck couldn't believe he would make such a mistake, but the fact was that the two house numbers were inconsistent—the intent form had No. 1261, while the official application submitted by Chuck had No. 1216. With this situation, it was impossible to get the approval from the Banking Regulatory Commission that day. Even if the materials were revised immediately, the next hearing would be at least six weeks later. Mesa Verde Bank's plans were all on schedule—how could they wait six weeks? The rejection of the application was a great humiliation for Chuck. He immediately went home to check the original materials, but Jimmy had already replaced the originals with the tampered copies while the house was empty, so Chuck couldn't find any evidence to prove he hadn't made a mistake. Suddenly, he thought of Jimmy, who had "taken care" of him that night. Based on his familiarity with Jimmy, he immediately figured out who the culprit was.

At that time, Jimmy and Kim, who couldn't afford to hire people, were decorating their office by themselves. Just then, Paige called and handed over the commissioned work to Kim again. Kim was overjoyed at this unexpected surprise, and Jimmy beside her also pretended to have the reaction of someone who knew nothing. But soon after, Kim received a call from Chuck, and Jimmy knew something was wrong.

When the two arrived at Chuck's door, Jimmy found that the key in his hand couldn't open the door lock. Ernesto inside opened the door, and Jimmy realized that Chuck had already replaced the lock with a new one. Chuck had only asked Kim to come alone to hand over the Mesa Verde Bank documents on the phone, but since Jimmy had come too, he simply exposed Jimmy's trick face to face. Jimmy put on an innocent look of being wronged—after all, these were just Chuck's guesses, with no solid evidence. In this matter, Kim believed Chuck's judgment, but she didn't want Jimmy to be embarrassed in front of his brother, so she chose to stand by Jimmy's side. Kim pointed out that over the years, Jimmy had been studying and working hard for Chuck, but Chuck had not given the necessary support; instead, he had stabbed Jimmy in the back and hindered his development. No matter what the truth of this matter was, she felt sorry for the McGill brothers. After carrying the two boxes of materials back to the car, Kim punched Jimmy hard several times, hating him for using such a despicable method to help her get the client back.

At night, after Jimmy finished washing up and lay down on the bed, Kim sat beside him, looking at the materials in her hand. Kim was still angry and didn't want to talk to Jimmy, but she had to remind him verbally: Chuck was the smartest lawyer here, good at finding loopholes in the other party's evidence and testimony. Now that they were going to be enemies with Chuck, they must ensure that everything they did was flawless. After listening to Kim's words, Jimmy, who was lying under the covers, jumped up from the bed in a hurry, grabbed his car keys, and rushed to the printing shop.

As expected, Jimmy could see Ernesto questioning the on-duty clerk through the shop window. Ernesto obviously made a discovery and hurried away in his car. Jimmy knew Chuck would come soon, so he immediately entered the shop and bribed the clerk with money. Soon after, Jimmy stood in a corner across the street and watched Ernesto drive Chuck to the printing shop. The fluorescent lights in the shop and the copier working non-stop made Chuck feel a buzzing in his head, but he still insisted on taking out a photo and asking the clerk to confirm if he had seen the person in the photo. The clerk who had taken the money denied having seen Jimmy, claiming that he had misseen someone due to eye fatigue just now. Chuck, who was furious and overwhelmed, finally couldn't hold on—his legs gave way and he fell down. His head hit the marble countertop, and blood flowed all over the floor.
