T-Bag was tied to a chair, his head slumped on his chest, drool trickling from his mouth. Geary had the stereo turned up loud to mask the sounds of the interrogation. Geary suggested to Bellick that they change their plan, as it seemed T-Bag knew nothing. As Bellick untied him, a locker key slowly fell from his sock.

In the FBI office, news arrived that Lincoln had been captured in Arizona, prompting cheers in the room. Agent Lang asked if anyone could reach Mahone, but every call to his phone went straight to voicemail. Kellerman was also trying to contact Mahone, with the same result. After persistent efforts, Agent Kim finally got through to Kellerman during a brief window. Kim ordered him to bring Lincoln to him immediately. Kellerman was highly displeased, insisting he could handle the prisoner alone.

The police car transporting Lincoln and LJ sped down an Arizona highway. A black van followed closely, eventually forcing the police car off the road. The car crashed into a tree by the roadside. Lincoln kicked the door open, and he and LJ fled desperately. People from the black van gave chase. They caught LJ, and a struggle ensued with Lincoln. Lincoln demanded to know which side they were on. A blonde woman named Jane Phillips smiled charmingly and said, "We're on your side. We're friends of your father."
Kellerman, weaving through crowded airport crowds while on the phone, commanded Mahone to come to Arizona immediately. Mahone, however, stated that he had discovered Scofield had contacted Sara that day and he needed to go to New Mexico City immediately.

At the Sunset Motel, Sara, waiting to meet Michael, absently rummaged through her bag. She found a key left to her by her father and attached it to a keyring. A knock came at her door. The hotel manager informed her that a fax had arrived for her. A wary Sara refused to open the door, asking him to slide it underneath. The fax read simply: "16871 Butterfield Plaza Road. One hour."
The black van arrived near a large house. A man opened the door, and Lincoln and LJ got out. Jane's partner, Leon, glared at Lincoln as he passed. Inside the house, Lincoln again demanded the truth, stating he wouldn't cooperate until he saw his father. Jane said his father's plane would land within the hour.

Mahone showed Michael's photo to staff at a local motel. The front desk clerk said he hadn't seen him. Just as Mahone was leaving, the clerk mentioned another motel on the same street.
Sucre stood by his car, the hood open. After attempting and failing to fix the engine, he abandoned it in frustration and continued on foot.
