T-Bag shoved his arm into Janet's mouth to stifle her screams. Michael hid by the window. A police officer arrived at the front door. "Mom, are you home?" called Ann, Janet's daughter. Hearing no response, she turned away, disappointed, but then noticed the broken glass on the porch and realized something was wrong. She placed her hand on her service weapon and slowly entered the house.

Lincoln and the others held their breath. Michael gasped for air, desperately trying to think of a plan. Janet managed to wrench free from T-Bag's grip and let out a piercing scream. Ann drew her gun and rushed into the room, her eyes locking on Michael. Sucre lunged at her from behind, but she elbowed him to the floor. Lincoln, however, overpowered her and took her gun.

Meanwhile, Mahone and Lyle inspected the scene at the hardware store. Lyle expressed doubt that the fugitives were still nearby, but Mahone knew that as long as the five million dollars was in this town, the escapees wouldn't leave. Mahone looked into an interrogation room where Tuna was seated at a table. "Interrogate him. He'll tell us everything," Mahone said.
Elsewhere, Sara walked with Kellerman towards a grocery store, her body trembling with tension as she struggled to maintain composure. Kellerman made small talk along the way. Finally, Sara couldn't take it anymore. Kellerman invited her to bake pastries together that evening. Sara claimed she had an urgent matter to attend to and had to leave. Kellerman noticed her basket was still empty and knew something was wrong.

Back at the house, Michael paced anxiously. "Now we're in trouble on all fronts." T-Bag remarked that tying the two women to chairs in the kitchen was already a serious crime, and their only option was to see their plan through to the end. Michael returned to the kitchen, apologized to the two captives, promised not to harm them, and ordered Sucre to watch them closely.
Kellerman informed Agent Kim that Sara seemed suspicious of him. Kim asserted that both the police and Sara knew who Kellerman was and what he represented. Sara entered the Governor's office and saw Bruce Bennett. Bruce informed her that the White House had withdrawn his Vice Presidential nomination. Sara felt a sense of relief.
At the dig site, "Tweener" jumped into the large pit and started helping with the digging. T-Bag sat nearby, flipping through an old issue of "National Geographic." The others watched the TV news, keeping an eye on the latest reports. Suddenly, Lincoln spoke up, noting that Tuna had been gone for a suspiciously long time.
