Rick and Shane went into the woods to search for Sophia. Shane believed Sophia was already dead and that there was no need to waste manpower on continuing the search.
Glenn sat in the hallway playing a guitar. When Maggie walked out of her room, Glenn stood up and told her he still had some condoms—hinting indirectly that they could continue having sex. Maggie didn’t agree to it right away; instead, she mocked Glenn with a sarcastic smile, teasing him about his short sexual stamina.
Daryl rode his horse into the woods. The horse was startled by a snake on the ground, panicking and throwing Daryl off its back. Daryl fell from the horse, rolled down a steep slope, and landed in a pond at the bottom. Although the pond cushioned the impact of his fall, Daryl still found that a sharp arrow had pierced through the skin on his waist.
The grass not far from the pond rustled nonstop. Daryl quickly grabbed his crossbow (which had fallen into the water) and tried to climb up the slope. However, he lost his balance mid-climb and rolled back down to the bottom.
Back at the farm, Rick talked to Lori about the progress of Sophia’s search. Sophia had been missing for several days, and it was likely she was already dead. Rick thought they should follow Shane’s advice and stop looking for her.
Glenn went to the RV to chat with Dale. The observant Dale noticed that Glenn had already slept with Maggie. Glenn argued that Maggie was an adult who could make her own choices, so having sex with her was a normal thing. But Dale worried that if Hershel found out the truth, he would kick everyone out—since the group was only staying at the farm temporarily, Glenn, as a guest, was being irresponsible by sleeping with Maggie.
While Daryl was unconscious, he hallucinated his brother Merle appearing in front of him. Merle urged Daryl to turn against Rick. When Daryl regained consciousness, he suddenly noticed a walker at his feet. The walker bent down, trying to bite his leg; Daryl kicked it over and grabbed his crossbow.
Another walker staggered over from not far away. Daryl loaded an arrow and shot it straight through the walker’s head with perfect accuracy.
With both walkers eliminated, Daryl knew he couldn’t stay at the bottom of the slope any longer. He quickly gathered his things, climbed up the slope, and headed back to the farm.
Andrea spotted Daryl through the scope of her sniper rifle. Since Daryl was covered in blood, Andrea mistakenly thought he was a walker and fired a shot by accident. Fortunately, the bullet missed his vital organs. The group hurried over, lifted Daryl together, and carried him back to a room in the farm.
As night fell, Glenn left a note for Maggie after dinner. The note invited Maggie to meet him at the warehouse. After reading it, Maggie looked as if she were facing a crisis and hurried out of the house toward the warehouse.
