Shane led the group in shooting and killing all the walkers detained in the warehouse. Sophia, who had already turned into a walker, was shot dead by Rick. Carol couldn’t accept the fact that her daughter had become a walker and ran away at once. Everyone was in low spirits, and no one said a word as they handled the bodies of the eliminated walkers.

Dale was quite dissatisfied with Shane for privately opening the warehouse door and leading everyone to kill the walkers. In response, Shane simply revealed the truth about Otis’ death to Dale. Dale firmly believed Shane was not lying. When Lori heard from Dale that Shane had shot Otis (to lure the walkers away) so he could escape, she was skeptical and didn’t fully believe Dale’s words.

Overwhelmed by the grief of losing her daughter, Carol stayed in the woods for half a day. When Carol came out of the woods, Shane helped her clean her arms. The group had been searching for Sophia for days, only to find that she had turned into a walker and was locked in the warehouse. Shane apologized to Carol, but Carol didn’t blame him.

With all the walkers in the farm’s warehouse eliminated, Rick sent people to drive away and dispose of the walkers’ corpses. Andrea, sitting in the back of the truck, noticed a rotting arm fall off the vehicle onto the ground. The companion driving the truck stopped the car at Andrea’s reminder, and Andrea jumped out, picked up the arm, and got back into the truck.

Hershel and Rick sat in a bar drinking. Now that all the walkers locked in the warehouse were dead, Hershel was in low spirits and downed several glasses of alcohol in a row. As Rick tried to comfort Hershel, two middle-aged men suddenly burst into the bar. Their sudden appearance made Rick’s expression change instantly. The two men walked up to Rick in a rude and unreserved manner; one of them sat down on a chair and introduced himself to Rick. He called himself Dave, and his companion was named Tony. Tony was fat and as strong as an ox. It was obvious that Dave was Tony’s leader—Tony stood aside to keep watch while Dave sat on the chair and talked with Rick.

During their conversation, Dave proposed moving to the farm to live. Rick bluntly refused his request. Dave left his chair, walked behind the bar, placed his handgun on the counter (in a deliberate manner), and continued to negotiate with Rick.

Rick still refused to take Dave and Tony in. When Dave reached out to grab the handgun on the bar, Rick, with quick reflexes, pulled out the pistol tucked in his waist and shot Dave dead on the spot. Tony, standing behind Rick, lifted his shotgun to fire, but Rick turned around and shot Tony first, killing him immediately. Everything happened so suddenly—Hershel had a complicated look on his face and said nothing, while Glenn stared at Rick in shock.
