Michonne was suspicious of the Governor’s character. Not long before, the Governor had claimed in front of the residents that a group of soldiers had been killed. Privately, Michonne went to the military vehicle used by the deceased soldiers to search for clues. The vehicle was stained with a lot of blood—clear evidence of a fierce gunfight—and its body was riddled with bullet holes. This made Michonne doubt the soldiers’ supposed "death." When the Governor arrived at the military vehicle, he calmly answered the few questions Michonne had raised.
Rick’s group and two male prisoners each occupied half of the prison. Struggling to survive, the two male prisoners offered to join Rick’s team, but Rick flatly rejected their request. T-Dog felt sympathy for the two prisoners, who were also Black. Even though the two men had been imprisoned for committing crimes, T-Dog thought Rick should not have cruelly turned down their request to join.
Hershel leaned on his crutches and went outside the prison to get some fresh air. A group of walkers rushed out from inside the prison and attacked him. The others were scattered by the walkers and fled in different directions. Amid the chaos, Rick heard the prison’s alarm blaring. He wondered why the alarm was going off for no reason and suspected that someone else was secretly plotting behind the scenes.
Carol and T-Dog fled to the depths of the prison, where they were attacked by a group of walkers. Tragically, T-Dog was torn apart and eaten by the walkers. Carol could only stand helplessly in the distance, watching as T-Dog was killed by the walkers.
Maggie, Lori, and Carl fled to a workshop. Lori’s baby was about to be born, so Maggie helped her deliver the child. The baby was born safely, but Lori passed away forever. As Maggie prepared to leave with the baby, Carl wanted to stay a little longer with his mother, Lori. When Maggie opened the workshop door to leave with the baby, several walkers appeared in the corridor outside. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly shut the door.
The two male prisoners led Rick and Daryl to the power room. Suddenly, one of the prisoners attacked Rick, while the other raised a pistol and aimed it at him. The prisoner attacking Rick urged his accomplice to pull the trigger, but Daryl stood nearby with his bow and arrow aimed at the armed prisoner. After a moment of hesitation, the prisoner with the gun shot and killed the one who had attacked Rick.
After Lori gave birth to the baby and passed away, Maggie carried the baby and returned to the outside of the prison with Carl, where they rejoined their teammates. Rick noticed that Lori was not with Maggie, and a sense of foreboding washed over him. He looked at Carl standing beside him—and Carl’s silence said it all. Overwhelmed by grief, Rick collapsed to the ground and wailed uncontrollably.
