Daryl was captured by the Governor, who forced Merle to duel with Daryl. Andrea stood by helplessly, watching the two brothers fight. While Merle seemingly obeyed the Governor’s order on the surface, he quietly discussed with Daryl how to escape in secret.

Rick led his men to throw smoke grenades onto the playground. Panicked, many residents fled in all directions. Taking advantage of the chaos, Daryl and Merle escaped. The Governor stood in the smoke, searching everywhere for any sign of Rick’s team.

As dawn broke, Merle and Daryl reunited with Rick’s group. Daryl decided to leave with his older brother Merle. Rick earnestly tried to persuade Daryl to stay, but Daryl was resolute in his decision—he left the team and departed with Merle for another place.

Glenn and Maggie returned to the prison. Since Maggie had been forced to undress by the Governor, Glenn was left with a lingering emotional knot he couldn’t untie. Maggie was sullen and refused to tell her father Hershel the reason behind their tension. Noticing that Glenn and Maggie seemed to be having a falling-out, Hershel grew concerned and decided to talk to Maggie.

Residents packed their luggage, planning to leave the sanctuary. Several of the Governor’s men stood on the wall, shooting at the walkers outside. Some residents were attacked by walkers in the residential area; Andrea raised her pistol and killed the walkers that were attacking the living. The injured resident lay on the ground, covered in blood and begging for help. Andrea knew there was no hope for anyone who had been bitten by a walker—yet even though the injured person had no chance of survival, she couldn’t bring herself to shoot them to end their suffering immediately.

A young woman begged Andrea to help the injured person. Andrea stood frozen, torn between choices and unsure what to do. Before she could make a decision, the Governor walked out of the building without a word and shot the injured person dead with a single bullet. Andrea looked at the Governor with a complicated expression, while he turned around and walked back into the building without saying a word.

Tyreese and his companions were temporarily staying at the prison. After returning, Rick worried about an attack from the Governor—who had already declared Rick’s team his mortal enemies. Rick knew that from then on, they would have to live in constant fear.

Grateful for their refuge, Tyreese offered to help Rick with tasks. But Rick was too distracted to accept Tyreese’s kindness right away. Tyreese, being straightforward, only wanted to do something to help Rick. In that moment, Rick hallucinated and saw his late wife Lori standing in the corridor. The others noticed that Rick’s expression was off; everyone stared at him in confusion. Suddenly, Rick flew into a fit of rage, shouting and yelling. Frightened, Tyreese quickly led his companions away.
