Halloween arrived in Westview. Wanda dressed as the Scarlet Witch, while Vision wore a clumsily put-together costume. Pietro teased Wanda, saying her outfit was lame—not as good as the Halloween costumes their mother made for them when they were kids. Wanda fondly recalled their childhood memories of trick-or-treating together.
Pietro also mocked Vision’s costume, comparing it to a traffic light and a half-peeled ear of corn. Vision found himself at a loss for words dealing with Wanda’s brother. Taking advantage of the holiday, Vision didn’t hide his iconic red face. He asked Wanda for permission to have a day of freedom. Although Wanda initially wanted him to stay and celebrate Halloween with the children, Pietro volunteered to look after the kids. Eventually, Wanda agreed to let Vision go out on his own.
Wanda and Pietro took Tommy and Billy into town to enjoy the Halloween atmosphere. Meanwhile, Vision walked alone through the streets—until a magical snack commercial suddenly interrupted the scene.
Vision soon noticed that all the residents had frozen in place. He flew into the air to get a better view and found Agnes. She told him that no one could escape—Wanda wouldn’t allow anyone to leave. Vision promised Agnes he would resolve the situation.
Outside Westview, Monica and her team sneaked into a data room, planning to re-enter the town. When Monica saw Pietro on the surveillance feed, she asked who he was. Woo explained that Pietro had somehow returned from the dead. Dr. Lewis worked on hacking into Tyler Hayward’s database to uncover more secrets. They discovered that Hayward had been monitoring the town—not to observe Wanda, but to keep tabs on Vision.
Meanwhile, Vision attempted to cross the energy barrier surrounding Westview but collapsed as soon as he reached the boundary.
Back in town, Billy found Wanda and told her Vision was in danger. Pietro joked, “He’s already died once—it’s not like he can die again.” Enraged, Wanda struck Pietro with a energy blast, sending him flying. She urged Billy to focus and sense Vision’s condition. The moment Billy said Vision was dying, Wanda used her powers to freeze everyone in Westview. The barrier began expanding rapidly, swallowing everything in its path. Dr. Lewis and several nearby soldiers were pulled in—only Monica and a few others managed to escape.
