William and Dolores encountered Logan again. Logan had previously fallen into the hands of the gang during Lazo's storyline, while William and Dolores abandoned him and escaped. Now, as the leader of the organization once more, Logan ordered his men to tie up William and Dolores to vent his anger and to have a serious talk with William, urging him not to become too obsessed with the virtual world of Westworld. After learning his true identity, Bernard sought out Ford for a conversation. He hoped to access his own memories to see what he had done while under control. Bernard saw his long-deceased son and wife, but these were all illusions—backgrounds fabricated by Ford. He also saw himself killing people,more than one. It turned out that, under Ford's orders, Bernard had killed Theresa and Elsie. Bernard finally distinguished truth from falsehood, and his consciousness underwent a sublimation. He knew he was special—Arnold's program lingered in his mind. He preemptively controlled a host, instructing her to point a gun at Ford to threaten him into surrendering his privileges. But Ford was one step ahead: Bernard had previously built backdoors into every host's program, and Ford exploited this to save himself. Bernard was completely out of options. He couldn't figure out what had gone wrong, but a voice deep inside told him he had important tasks to complete.
Knowing that Bernard would soon be under his control again, Ford saw no harm in revealing the truth. He produced an old photograph featuring Ford and Arnold—and Arnold looked exactly like Bernard.
Dolores sat in the discussion room, waiting for Arnold's arrival. She recalled her conversations with Arnold long ago—it was Arnold who had guided her here, Arnold who had helped her remember everything. Dolores had found this place and recalled many things, but she felt immense pain and hoped Arnold could help her. Unfortunately, Arnold was dead, and Dolores's consciousness returned to reality. The discussion room was empty except for herself. Dolores returned to the church's main hall, but the hosts she had seen earlier had vanished. Suddenly, the church door creaked open. Dolores instinctively called out William's name, but the person who entered was not William—it was the Man in Black.
