In the fourth installment of "Bookie" Season 2, titled "Make It Look Like an Accident," viewers are once again immersed in the chaotic world of Danny (Sebastian Maniscalco), a Los Angeles-based bookie navigating the complexities of his business and personal life. Set against the backdrop of the bustling city, this episode delves deeper into the characters' relationships and the challenges they face, both professionally and personally.

The episode begins with a scene that sets the tone for the day's events. Hector (Jorge Garcia) and Walt Dinty (Rob Corddry) are seen hashing out a deal, while Danny and Sandra (Andrea Anders) Colavito attempt to reach an agreement regarding Wendy (Dale Dickey). Danny's efforts to negotiate with Sandra are fruitless, and he leaves to start his day, realizing that he won't get far with her. Meanwhile, Ray/Reyfield (Omar J Dorsey) is in the middle of giving John Franklin (Brent Jennings) a sponge bath when Danny arrives, adding another layer of awkwardness to the morning.
As the day unfolds, Larraine (Vanessa Ferlito) is seen logging a bet when Hector buzzes at the door. She lets him in, takes his bets, and teases him about his handwriting. Hector briefly asks if she spoke to her partner before Larraine starts complaining about him drinking her Red Bull. Their interaction is cut short by Ray's arrival, and when Ray gives Lorraine his betting slip, she uses the opportunity to complain about Hector's handwriting once again.
Danny continues his earlier argument with Sandra over the phone outside, while Ray checks in with Lorraine, who admits to feeling a bit lonely. Ray apologizes, explaining that between dealing with Frank and his grandmother (Arnetia Walker), he hasn't had much time for her. Their conversation is interrupted by Danny, who is still preoccupied with his issues.
The episode takes a turn when Rocko is about to go live with his picks, and Danny and Ray show up to collect the $42,000 he owes them. Despite letting them in, Rocko quickly returns to his recording, showing little interest in their presence. After collecting the money, Danny and Ray attempt to contact Gregory (Bob Clendenin) to make another deposit, but he claims to be in Sacramento and reschedules their meeting for Monday, adding another layer of frustration to their day.
Lorraine's day takes a dramatic turn when she discovers that her mushroom storage containers have been robbed. She immediately calls Walt and then Hector, but the three are unable to put their differences aside long enough to realistically consider who and how they got robbed. Walt, exasperated by the situation, storms off.
Ray's personal life is also in turmoil when he returns home to find Janelle (Selina Kaye) waiting for him. Despite the initial pleasantries, his grandmother quickly senses the tension and takes little Ray elsewhere. Janelle wastes no time in confronting Ray about his move to Brentwood, accusing him of leaving her and Ray Pico Boulevard. An argument ensues, and Ray appears defeated when Janelle threatens to call his other baby mamas and inform them of his new address.
Ray's evening doesn't improve when Wendy attempts an apology while he tries to unwind and watch TV. Although he initially resents Wendy, she shares stories about Sandra that make him realize he is better off with her around. He agrees to let her stay, and she agrees to help him convince Sandra that the whole thing is his idea.
Danny's day is further complicated when he receives another call from Nick in Costa Rica while trying to break the news to Sandra. He decides to ignore the call, focusing instead on the situation at hand. Meanwhile, Walt introduces a group of his peers to their psychedelic advisor, Doctor Nancy Rinpoche, who also happens to be his mistress, adding a layer of intrigue to his personal life. The episode concludes with a dramatic twist as Grandma claims that Frank naturally passed away, despite the pillow in her hand, leaving viewers to ponder the true nature of the events that transpired.
"Make It Look Like an Accident" is a compelling episode that continues to explore the complex dynamics between the characters. It highlights the challenges they face in their personal and professional lives, showcasing the lengths they go to in order to maintain their relationships and business. The episode is filled with unexpected turns and moments of humor, keeping viewers engaged and eager for more.
