The episode opens with Eulogio Pinto, also known as Barroso, threatening Lupita with extortion. He demands a million dollars in exchange for keeping her involvement in Moncho's murder a secret. Despite her initial resistance, Lupita eventually caves in, unable to bear the weight of guilt.

Carla's exposé has sent shockwaves through the town. Emiliano, unaware of Carla's role, believes David is responsible for preventing his imprisonment. He accepts the end of his marriage with Daniela but expresses his longing for her.

Carla, basking in the success of her interview, is met with indifference from Yola, who simply takes the money and leaves.

The Lobo firm faces a crisis as the theme park investors demand Emiliano's removal. To salvage the deal, Javier and David are forced to bring Charro on board. Javier, filled with regret, fires Emiliano from his own firm.

David, furious with Carla for betraying her family, engages in constant arguments. Carla, unfazed, insists that she's the moral compass, accusing David of manipulating Moncho and Emiliano and sleeping with Lupita.

As their relationship deteriorates, David mysteriously disappears. Carla, filled with worry, searches for him but eventually confides in Daniela, suspecting he may have run away.

Meanwhile, Emiliano and Daniela remain true to their promise, helping Yola and her children secure US passports. They also give Quique Rodri's tablet, hoping for a fresh start for the children.

Lucia, avoiding Salome, finally reveals the truth about the stakeout to Daniela. Daniela, shocked to learn of Lucia's drug use and involvement with the dealer, apologizes to Alex for wrongfully arresting him.

Daniela, determined to make amends, teams up with Fonseca to apprehend Nico, the actual drug dealer. She also works tirelessly to help Lucia get clean. In the epilogue, we see Lucia attending NA meetings and rekindling her relationship with Alex.

The commotion surrounding Paula's miracle continues, with even her estranged mother, Roxana, arriving with a priest. Despite Roxana's attempts to exploit Paula for fame, Paula insists on staying with her father and rejects the attention.

Brenda, seeking counseling from Fabian, reveals her regret for hurting Javier and cheating on him. Javier, offering a heartfelt apology, expresses his desire to save their family. He agrees to undergo a vasectomy reversal and expresses his readiness to have a child with Brenda. Touched by his sincerity, Brenda agrees to reconcile.

Charro, seeking revenge, manipulates Ulises into framing Emiliano for assault. With fabricated CCTV footage, Emiliano is arrested and charged with assaulting Charro. During the trial, Ulises uses the bouncy house incident to paint Emiliano as a negligent and greedy individual. Javier, defending Emiliano, highlights the lack of malice in his actions. However, the judge sentences Emiliano to two years in prison without bail.

The theme park deal falls through as construction workers uncover archaeological remains. The investors, unwilling to risk government intervention, cancel the deal without compensation.

Charro, furious but aware of David's role in protecting him, lures David to the construction site under false pretenses. He carries out his long-standing threat, shooting David in the head and having the construction workers bury him.

Fonseca reveals that Moncho's killer has been found - Barroso. Lupita, having poisoned the apples Barroso consumed, eliminates the evidence by disposing of his body.

Yola, unsatisfied with Barroso's death, insists on pursuing the person who hired him. Daniela, determined to bring the culprit to justice, finds incriminating documents in Barroso's car.

Alex, initially annoyed by Charro's presence, is eventually persuaded by Lupita to be patient. His patience pays off as Daniela arrives to arrest Charro, using the documents to link him to Barroso's murder.

Lupita, victorious, reveals to Alex her involvement in Barroso's death. Alex, disturbed by the revelation, is left grappling with the complexities of the situation.

In the final moments of the episode, Daniela visits Emiliano in prison, offering forgiveness and expressing her unwavering support. As she leaves, Charro, imprisoned in the same facility, sneaks up behind Emiliano, leaving the audience with a cliffhanger.
