The episode opens with Alex and Charro heading towards the Lobos' territory. However, Alex's resolve to prevent Charro from harming Lucia grows stronger. Charro, consumed by anger and grief, insists on retribution. Meanwhile, a stoned Lucia, hiding with her pet dog, Gol, is pursued by Charro. Alex intervenes, shielding Charro's car with his body. Charro, momentarily stunned, ultimately leaves, his father's words ringing in his ears.

At the police station, Daniela is frantic as Emiliano seeks a full sentence and Lucia remains unreachable. Ulises offers comfort and support, expressing his deep feelings for her. When Daniela's car breaks down, Ulises insists on driving her home.

Upon arriving, Daniela is shocked to discover that Lucia is missing and most of her belongings are gone. Ulises attempts to console her, but his advances are rebuffed. Despite Daniela's protests, Ulises persists, claiming his unwavering love for her.

Meanwhile, Javier tries to reason with Emiliano, urging him to fight for his loved ones. At the same time, Yola reveals the truth to Carla, albeit with a distorted narrative that casts Emiliano as the villain. Peyote, Charro's right-hand man, observes their interaction closely.

Alex, overwhelmed by the situation, packs his belongings and prepares to leave. Lupita, though reluctant, helps him secure some money from Charro's safe. Despite her pleas for him to stay, Alex is determined to break free from Charro's influence.

The news of Emiliano's arrest reaches the American investors, who announce their intention to visit Santa Cruz to assess the situation. David and Javier concoct a lie to protect Emiliano, claiming his arrest is wrongful. However, Carla, engrossed in her exclusive story, ignores David's attempts to contact her.

As Carla leaves, Peyote kidnaps her, holding her captive in the same hotel room where David and Lupita had previously been intimate. Charro, amused by the situation, threatens to harm Clara, unaware of her pregnancy.

Elsewhere, Charro and his lawyer devise a plan to evade the Jalisco police, who have learned of his son's arrest. Lupita urges Charro to bring Alex back, but he remains indifferent. Alex and Lucia, having escaped together, find refuge in one of Alex's family's estates, where they ultimately engage in a passionate encounter.

Roxana, unaware of the turmoil surrounding Paula, learns about the miracle from the news. Fabian, however, discourages Paula from discussing the Virgin Mary at school. Despite Paula's confusion, Fabian insists on maintaining his stance. Roxana's arrival brings relief to Fabian, who has been struggling to cope.

Javier and Brenda's relationship continues to deteriorate. Brenda remains unable to understand Javier's decision to defend Emiliano. Javier argues that his actions are for their collective good, as the investors may sue them if Emiliano's accident is not resolved. Brenda, heartbroken and disillusioned, seeks solace in Mauricio.

As Daniela continues her search for Lucia, she receives a call from Alex, who is with Lucia. Daniela informs Emiliano of their whereabouts, and he becomes increasingly worried. Emiliano, now out on bail, vows to find Lucia. However, Daniela rejects his help, and he witnesses Ulises in their kitchen.

The episode concludes with Alex and Lucia planning their escape to the United States. Meanwhile, Daniela issues an Amber Alert for both of them. Emiliano, unaware of Daniela's efforts, reveals his intention to find Lucia. As Daniela insists on handling the situation alone, she encounters Ulises in her kitchen, adding another layer of complexity to the already chaotic narrative.
