The episode opens with the aftermath of Sang-hyuk's brutal massacre of Sang-taek and the Boodu Gang members. Unbeknownst to Sang-hyuk, Cheong-gang captures the horrific scene on his phone. Later, he discovers a chequebook worth 500 million won, but his desire for revenge overrides any financial gain.

Pan-ho, seeking answers, reaches out to the anonymous caller who witnessed the car accident. The caller, an employee at the car repair shop, reveals that he saw Ho-young dispose of the phone in a lake. The caller demands a substantial sum of money for his silence. Gang-heon, now fully convinced of Pan-ho's involvement, struggles to reconcile his suspicions with the respected judge he once knew.

The police launch an investigation into the massacre at the pier. Mi-yeon, unaware of the events, is consumed by anger when she learns the news. Pan-ho, seeking information, meets with Chae-rim and learns of Sang-taek's death. Gang-heon, driven by a need for answers, decides to confront Mi-yeon.

Pan-ho, overwhelmed by the growing death toll, expresses his remorse to Yi-hwan. Yi-hwan, however, advises him to remain ruthless and protect himself at all costs. Gang-heon, meeting with Mi-yeon, demands the truth about the gang's involvement in Sang-taek's death. Mi-yeon, reluctantly, presents Jo Bin, a beaten and bruised witness who confesses to Sang-hyuk's involvement. She also reveals that Hyun-soo, Gang-heon's wife's secretary, ordered Jo Bin to set Sang-taek's house on fire.

Meanwhile, Cheong-gang contacts Chae-rim, providing her with the crucial video evidence. Ho-young, unaware of the consequences of his actions, searches for an article about Sang-hyuk's assault charges. Eun, joining him, expresses her sympathy for Sang-hyuk's loss of his mother.

Chae-rim, armed with the video, confronts Pan-ho, determined to bring Sang-hyuk to justice. She references a previous incident involving Sang-hyuk, suggesting a pattern of violence. Gang-heon, following Pan-ho's trail, visits his home while he is away. He leaves a cigarette on the center table, a subtle sign of his presence.

Sang-hyuk, desperate to escape the country, attempts to purchase air tickets but is thwarted by a flagged passport. He goes on the run, while Gang-heon orders his secretary to find him at any cost.

Pan-ho, seeking information, visits the auto repair shop owner. The owner mentions a foreigner named Tee Rab, who may have returned for his tools. Gang-heon's men capture Hyun-soo, who, under duress, reveals his involvement in the fire at Gang-heon's wife's command. Gang-heon, consumed by rage, executes Hyun-soo.

Sang-hyuk, hiding in a diner, contacts a police officer he knows, who is working with Chae-rim. He offers a bribe in exchange for help escaping the country. Chae-rim, however, uses this opportunity to capture Sang-hyuk. She denies him an attorney and confronts him with the damning video.

Chae-rim informs Pan-ho of Sang-hyuk's arrest and the safekeeping of Cheong-gang. Pan-ho, in his rented car, follows Tee Rab to a disused warehouse. He confronts Tee Rab, demanding money, but is attacked. In a shocking twist, Gang-heon's secretary intervenes, saving Pan-ho from Tee Rab.

Gang-heon, face-to-face with Pan-ho, reveals his knowledge of Pan-ho's involvement in Sang-hyeon's death. As he raises a gun to Pan-ho's head, Pan-ho offers to save Gang-heon's remaining son. Reluctantly, Gang-heon agrees, but only if Pan-ho proves his loyalty by killing Tee Rab.

With the secretary recording the scene, Pan-ho hesitates as Tee Rab begs for his life. When Tee Rab mentions Ho-young's name, Pan-ho, driven by desperation, pulls the trigger, ending Tee Rab's life.
