News that Escobar was suspected of murdering Galeano and Moncada in prison made headlines. Peña and Murphy were praised by their colleagues, but unfortunately, the ambassador immediately knew they were behind it and suspended them pending further clarification.

Gaviria had a terrible headache after seeing the reports. Edward comforted him that this was the perfect opportunity for the government to end Escobar's "vacation." Inside the high walls of La Catedral, Escobar was still unaware of what had happened. He only asked his subordinates if the bodies had been disposed of properly, but they dared not show him the newspapers.

After deliberation, the Colombian government dispatched troops to La Catedral, led by General Arisa, a native of Medellín. Tata saw the troops heading for the prison and quickly notified Escobar. By the time Escobar received the call, the troops had already arrived. He reassured Tata that he would be fine and ordered his men to prepare their weapons.

The military surrounded La Catedral completely. Juan tried to go to the prison to help Escobar, but Tata scolded him severely—none of them could believe that anything would happen to Escobar. Escobar discussed countermeasures with his subordinates, still hoping to resolve the matter peacefully through negotiations with Gaviria. The government sent Edward to pretend to negotiate with Escobar, convincing him to transfer to a military-controlled prison in Bogotá.

Murphy was abducted in front of his garage. Connie had no choice but to ask Peña for help. Peña couldn't find Murphy on his own, so he turned to the CIA for assistance, but there was still no news. The CIA suggested reporting it immediately, but Peña insisted on delaying for a few more hours. He didn't know if it was the Cali Cartel or Escobar who had kidnapped Murphy, and he feared that reporting it hastily would lead to Murphy suffering the same fate as Turbay.

Edward risked his life to enter La Catedral, telling Escobar that he and his men would be sent to Bogotá Prison—ostensibly to protect them from other criminal gangs. Escobar insisted that Gaviria and Edward had betrayed him, claiming he hadn't killed anyone. "Who can guarantee I won't be kidnapped once I'm out?" he demanded. "If this is really Gaviria's wish, he should come here himself. Otherwise, anyone who breaks in will be regarded as a declaration of war."

Escobar forcibly detained Edward in La Catedral, while General Arisa waited anxiously outside. Escobar ordered Edward to call Gaviria and tell him to withdraw the troops immediately. After receiving the call, Gaviria couldn't understand why Edward had entered the prison or why General Arisa hadn't taken action yet. Everyone urged Gaviria to hang up, not giving Escobar a chance to threaten him.

Gaviria was deeply worried about Edward's safety, and Escobar took the opportunity to sow seeds of distrust between them. Murphy was brought before Barcha, who threatened him with recordings and photos, hoping he would unite those harmed to fight against Escobar. Murphy remained unmoved, saying he wanted to take down Escobar—but he would go after the Cali Cartel afterward.

Barcha sent Murphy back. Murphy grabbed Peña by the collar and asked if he had betrayed him. Peña, of course, denied it. That night, troops stormed La Catedral, engaging in fierce combat with the drug lords. They successfully rescued Edward and promptly reported the news to Gaviria. Less than an hour after Escobar escaped from La Catedral, rumors spread across Colombia. But this time, there would be no compromises or negotiations—only the determination to strike and take him down.
