Rick Amd Morty S2E7

The morning sun streaming over the breakfast table hadn't yet burned off the mist when Morty clutched a slice of toast and dropped a bombshell: the school cafeteria lady's body had been found in the gymnasium, with two blood holes in her neck and every drop of blood drained from her body. Summer huddled trembling with a pillow in her arms, insistent that a vampire was at work, then turned to stare at Rick—who was pouring alien syrup over his cereal—with a pleading look. Before Rick could refuse, Jerry and Beth erupted into a fiery argument over the trivial chore of "who should take out the trash," the clattering of dinner plates drowning out Morty's attempt to add details.

Rolling his eyes, Rick set down his bowl. Grabbing Jerry by the collar with one hand and slinging an arm around Beth's waist with the other, he snapped, "Perfect. The best marriage counseling clinic in the galaxy can fix even a marriage between a dog and chocolate—you two go get your brains recalibrated." He shoved the screaming couple onto his spaceship, then raised an eyebrow at the kids. "As for the vampire? Grandpa Rick's got something exciting planned."

In the garage, the cloning pod glowed with a faint blue light as Rick transferred his consciousness into a lab-grown teenage body—"Young Rick" was born. This blonde, blue-eyed middle schooler not only excelled academically but also became the talk of the entire school with his charismatic guitar performances, earning a personal invitation to the weekend dance from the principal himself. Teaming up with Morty and Summer to form the "Young Van Helsing Trio," he quickly zeroed in on their target: Coach Ferratu, the PE teacher who always kept students behind alone after dusk.

Young Rick confirmed their suspicion using a homemade silver dart, forcing Ferratu to transform into a fanged vampire with a ghastly pale face. Yet through the trio's coordinated effort, the vampire was finally impaled on a basketball hoop. After the crisis passed, Young Rick's popularity soared to new heights. He began indulging in parties and adulation, and when Summer reminded him, "It's time to switch back to Grandpa's body," he shot her a look of cold indifference—one Rick had never shown before.

Summer soon noticed something was deeply wrong. The lyrics Young Rick sang at parties were filled with lines like "Break free from the cage of old age," and hidden behind his self-portraits were scribbles that read "Destroy the original." Storming into Morty's room, she slammed the evidence down on his desk. "That's not Grandpa—it's just his desire to run from middle age!" Morty refused to believe her at first, but his resolve crumbled at the dance when he watched Young Rick deliberately spill juice on Summer to humiliate her. As he stared at his sister's retreating, tearful figure, he finally clenched his fists in anger.

Sneaking back to the garage together, the siblings stumbled upon Young Rick wielding an ax, advancing toward the life pod holding Rick's original body. The teenager's face twisted into a maniacal grin. "Why go back to that wrinkled old shell? This is eternity!"

Meanwhile, Jerry and Beth were enduring an even more bizarre "therapy session" at the interstellar marriage counseling clinic. The alien counselor placed brainwave scanning helmets on their heads, explaining, "This machine materializes your prejudices about each other into living creatures." No sooner had he spoken than a plump spider queen appeared before Jerry—a physical manifestation of his perception of "the overly controlling Beth." Before Beth stood a squishy, wriggling worm—her vision of "the weak, incompetent Jerry."

The counselor had expected the two monsters to tear each other apart, just like the manifestations of every other couple they'd treated. Instead, the spider queen hoisted the worm onto her back and used her webs to shield them from the guards' stun guns. This unlikely "monster duo" joined forces to break out of their confinement, leaving chaos and destruction in their wake throughout the clinic. As the counselor fled for his life, he screamed, "Your marriage is a cosmic disaster!"

Beth was captured by the spider queen, who tied her to a cultivation pod and forced her to "mass-produce an army of Worm Jerrys." Hiding trembling in the air vents, Jerry watched his wife struggle on the monitor—and suddenly remembered his wedding vows. Grabbing a discarded laser gun, he rallied a group of freed Worm Jerrys and charged out. "Let my wife go!" he shouted.

Watching her normally cowardly husband stand protectively in front of her, Beth's shock slowly melted into emotion. She lunged at the control panel, inputting her newfound understanding of Jerry into the machine. In an instant, a horde of muscular, resolute "Hero Jerrys" materialized, launching themselves at the spider queen.

Back in the garage, the fight had reached a fever pitch. Young Rick's agility left Morty repeatedly defeated. Roaring, "I'm gonna beat you like the real Rick would!" Morty seized an opening to press a consciousness transfer device against the teenager's forehead. Seizing the moment, Summer flipped the switch, and Rick's consciousness surged back into his original body amid a blinding white light.

As Rick's gnarled fingers wrapped around the ax once more, his gaze fell on the other cloned versions of himself in the garage—Child Rick, Middle-Aged Rick, and more. With a complex look in his eyes, he swung the ax down, destroying them all. Wiping nutrient fluid from his face, he muttered, "Youth is a poison. It makes you forget that old age is the armor of wisdom."

The chaos at the counseling clinic was ultimately quelled by "Goddess Beth." Thinking on his feet, Jerry slammed one of the scanning helmets onto a Hero Jerry's head. The machine immediately conjured a radiant goddess—Jerry's vision of "the Beth worth fighting for." With a single wave of her hand, the goddess defeated the spider queen. As the light faded, Jerry and Beth embraced amid the clinic's ruins, with the glowing remains of the worm and spider crumbling at their feet. On their flight back home, the couple didn't bicker once. Instead, they exchanged occasional glances—awkward, yet warm.
