Lalo killed someone right in front of Saul and Kim, leaving both in utter terror. He told them to sit down. Saul insisted he had never betrayed Lalo and had always worked for him, but Lalo said he didn’t care at all. He pulled out a blueprint, told Saul to follow his plan down to every detail, and ordered him to act. Saul tried to pass the task to Kim, claiming she was better suited for it. Terrified, Kim had no choice but to take the blueprint and set off immediately—Lalo gave her exactly one hour to return. Muttering that he couldn’t understand how a coward like Saul had won over a smart woman like Kim, Lalo tied Saul up.
Lalo recounted his experiences to Saul, telling him to think carefully about the whole chain of events. Kim drove to the location Lalo had specified, grabbed a gun, and got out of the car. Summoning her courage, she rang the doorbell—only to be immediately arrested by Mike. Panicked, Kim screamed that Lalo would kill Saul, who was still at her apartment. She begged to go back, as her hour was almost up. Ignoring her distress, Mike led his team out at once.
Watching the car depart, Lalo sneaked into Gustavo’s compound. Inside, Gustavo was overwhelmed with anxiety and called directly to ask if Kim had been sent by Lalo. Mike stationed snipers all around Saul’s apartment before leading his team inside.
Too agitated to stay put, Gustavo led his own team out—walking right into Lalo’s trap. When Mike reached Saul’s apartment, he told Saul that Kim was safe and asked how long Lalo had been gone. Meanwhile, Lalo mocked Gustavo for wearing a bulletproof vest but leaving his head unprotected, filmed the whole scene, and shot Gustavo. Terrified, Gustavo was forced to lead Lalo through the compound; Lalo kicked him whenever he was displeased. Enraged, Gustavo cursed Lalo as the worst parasite in his family, a worthless scumbag.
Gustavo fired repeatedly at Lalo, and eventually, Lalo fell dead. Only then did Gustavo catch his breath and tend to his wounds. He called Lyle to inform him that the restaurant would be in his charge temporarily. Mike confronted Gustavo, asking if he was happy with how the night had unfolded. He argued that if Gustavo had wanted to play detective, he should have said so beforehand—things never had to escalate this far. Gustavo simply agreed.
Saul finally reunited with Kim, who threw her arms around him. Mike handled the body casually, mentioning he’d get Saul a new refrigerator. He assured Saul that Lalo would never come back, told them to calm down, and instructed them on how to handle police questioning—since they were indeed the last people to see Lalo alive. He advised them to go about their normal routines, act as if nothing had happened, and carry on with their day. With that, Mike left.
As Mike disposed of the body, he made sure to take a pair of leather shoes with him.
