Saul and Kim followed Mike’s instructions, acting as if nothing had happened and going about their daily lives. Mike’s men cleaned up the apartment thoroughly, leaving no trace of the incident. After finishing work, the couple returned home, still shaken by the ordeal. Saul told Kim, "One day, we’ll wake up naturally and never think about this again—forget it completely."
Gustavo faced Hector’s accusations alone. Hector clearly demanded blood for blood, but the mediator Ladio only wanted to maintain peace. He told Gustavo not to act without authorization and to never forget who the real boss was. Mike informed Gustavo that the lawyers had followed their plan, and the case was essentially closed—no evidence could be found.
Gustavo went to a bar, listened quietly to others chatting animatedly, then left. Mike hid a suitcase containing an ID card.
Mike called Varga’s father, saying he wanted to talk about his son. He told him, "Your son won’t be coming back, but he was a good kid. I’ll see that justice is done for him." Varga’s father retorted angrily, "He’s dead—what the hell kind of justice can you gangsters talk about?" and walked away. Saul and Kim attended the memorial service, where Cheryl asked Saul what he had told the police.
Saul rambled but failed to convince Cheryl. Then Kim spoke up: "I saw Howard about a year ago. I really did see him doing drugs in his office. I never told anyone, but now I wish I had." Cheryl turned to Cliff, asking if he had noticed anything unusual during his years working with Howard. Cliff said, "This isn’t the time for that." Cheryl couldn’t hold back her tears. Kim added, "Cheryl, you’re Howard’s wife—you know him best. Maybe I misinterpreted what I saw. You’d know." Unwilling to continue the conversation, Cheryl ran off.
In the parking lot, Saul said, "It’s all over. We can start healing now." Kim kissed and hugged him, then drove away alone. She went to court, where the judge eagerly asked for her input—but Kim announced she was no longer a lawyer.
Kim smoked on her balcony, waiting for Saul to return. When he arrived, Saul was distraught. He pleaded with her not to give up her career over this incident: "So many people need you to defend them. We can take two weeks off to recover, or move somewhere new and start over. Everything will get better." But Kim had already packed her bags. She said, "Other people are suffering because of us. We’re poison together." Saul argued, "Howard’s death wasn’t our fault at all!" Kim replied, "I knew Lalo was still alive. I didn’t tell you to protect you. I never wanted to break up."
After that, Saul threw himself into work frantically, making endless calls from his car—determined to fight for justice no matter what.
