Jesse went to Mexico with Gus, and Walter’s condition worsened. Skyler tried to call Walter—she had bought a used car as a birthday surprise for their son, but he wasn’t very happy.

Skyler persuaded Saul to give Ted an unexpected inheritance of over 600,000. Ted was extremely shocked. Gus and his group were taken to the lab to cook meth, and Jesse successfully replicated Walter’s formula.

Walter’s son tried to reach him, but Walter refused to open the door. When his son found Walter with a bruised and swollen face, Walter explained that he had gotten into a fight. Walter broke down in tears in front of his son, who kept comforting him and lulling him to sleep.

Saul tracked down Skyler, mentioning that Ted hadn’t used the money to pay his taxes—instead, he’d spent it on enjoying himself. When Walter woke up, he was deeply sorry to find his son sleeping on the sofa at his house.

Walter apologized to his son, admitting he hadn’t controlled his temper, and his son said he understood. Skyler went to see Ted, who told her about the unexpected inheritance he’d recently received. Skyler urged him to pay his taxes immediately, but Ted explained that he wanted to reopen his company first. Unwilling to let Skyler boss him around, Ted argued back—so Skyler directly told him that the huge sum of money was from her.

Gus and his group waited for a meeting with the Mexican leader, Don. Gus introduced Jesse to Don, who publicly humiliated Max—Gus’s close friend from the past—in front of him. To show his sincerity, Gus offered the poisoned wine he had brought. He drank the first glass, and Don and his men followed suit.
Gus went to the bathroom and vomited up the poisoned wine he’d just drunk. Don and his men were all severely poisoned. Gus was also poisoned, and Jesse helped the two of them escape. Unfortunately, Mike was shot and seriously wounded.
