Rick And Morty S3E10

The eerie roar of an unknown creature shattered the silence in the "Kennedy Sex Tunnel" beneath the White House. The President’s emergency communication cut straight into Rick’s lab—where the grandfather-grandson duo were in the middle of a heated argument over a diamond mine in Minecraft. Scowling with irritation, Rick activated a portal and teleported himself and Morty directly to the Oval Office. The President’s demand was blunt and straightforward: eliminate the underground monster and safeguard national security.

For Rick, a mission of this caliber was no more difficult than squashing an ant. With nothing but a modified laser gun, he scared the small extraterrestrial creature hiding deep in the tunnel into fleeing for its life. After wrapping up the task, Morty mustered up the courage to make a humble request: “Mr. President, could I get a photo with you?” What seemed like an insignificant ask was coldly rejected by the President, who reasoned, “A national leader’s time shouldn’t be wasted on such trivialities.” Rick didn’t lose his temper then; he simply turned to leave with Morty. As he walked out, his gaze flicked across the nuclear button on the President’s desk, and a playful smirk curled at the corner of his mouth.

Back home, the two dived right back into their gaming world, completely unaware that White House agents had been monitoring their every move via satellite thermal imaging. Furious to learn that the pair had “indulged in video games right after saving the country,” the President picked up the phone to confront them. Rick shot back without hesitation: “We’re not your personal janitors. You didn’t even say thank you when we saved the planet last time.” The argument blew the lid off their tense relationship—the President announced he would “no longer accept their savior services,” while Rick retaliated with actions far more aggressive.

Just as the President was grappling with a tiny civilization discovered in the Amazon rainforest, Rick had already arrived in Brazil with Morty. Not only did he beat the President to the punch by signing a peace treaty with the tiny civilization’s queen, but he also prepared a “surprise” for the President when he finally showed up—a suit that could shrink or grow with the wearer’s body. Intentionally, though, he left out the pants, joking, “I heard you like letting your important bits swing freely.” To add further humiliation to the President’s embarrassment, Rick brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine using nothing but a few “space joints.” The peace agreement they signed bore a deeply sarcastic name: You’ll Figure It Out If You Think About It.

As the main conflict escalated, Beth’s mind was consumed by a terrifying thought. Ever since learning about Rick’s past cloning experiments, she’d begun to suspect that she herself was a clone—especially given her recent personality changes, which even her daughter Summer couldn’t help but comment on: “You’re like a completely different person.” She called Rick to seek the truth, only to get an ambiguous response: “I’m not going to tell you the answer. Besides, if a clone finds out the truth, I have to eliminate her.” That sentence shattered Beth’s mental defenses completely. The first person she thought of was Jerry, her estranged husband.

At that moment, Jerry was awkwardly stretching his body in a yoga studio. When Beth suddenly appeared, he was caught off guard at first. But as Beth poured out her fears through tears, the usually timid man surprised everyone with his gentle empathy. Instead of spouting empty platitudes, he pulled her into a hug and said, “Whether you’re a clone or an alien, you’re the mother of my kids—and you’re the Beth I know.” That pure acceptance made Beth feel loved all over again. The two decided to reconcile, packing up the kids and going into hiding to escape the conflict between Rick and the President.

The standoff at the White House had erupted into an all-out war. The President ordered his agents to arrest Rick, but Rick countered with handcuffs made from “Sanchez Element”—a fictional substance that only restrains those in positions of authority. One agent tried to charge at Rick, only to vanish into ashes instantly under Rick’s invisible shield. “You have no idea who you’re messing with,” Rick sneered. He then recited the address of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s mother, scaring the man into surrendering on the spot. The President stepped up to fight personally, using a custom weapon to hurl Rick into the wall. The floor caved in, and the two plummeted down into the underground facility through the gaping hole.

The absurd battle intensified by the minute: the President used satellite lasers to draw burning circles on the ground, while Rick tossed candy to distract the army of combat children the President had summoned; the President activated a giant mecha and opened fire wildly, and Rick created dozens of duplicates to form an encircling net. When the President ran out of ammunition, Rick dismissed his clones and gathered a glowing blue energy orb around himself. Undeterred, the President summoned an even more advanced battle suit and launched a final charge. The out-of-control mecha crashed through the White House roof with both men on board. Mid-air, Rick grabbed the President by the neck and squeezed tightly—until he finally heard the words of surrender: “I’ll take a photo with Morty.”

But when Rick returned home with his “trophy,” he found the house empty. Morty had already left with Beth and Jerry, taking the portal gun with him. Following the energy trail, he tracked his family to their hiding place. The gun in his hand instantly put everyone on edge. Beth stepped forward calmly: “I know I’m the clone. Kill me if you have to—but leave them alone.” Suddenly, Rick burst out laughing. He shifted the gun’s aim to Jerry, standing nearby: “You silly girl. I came to kill your ex-husband.”

This absurd twist defused the tense standoff. In the end, Rick lowered his gun, admitting that he couldn’t stop Jerry from re-integrating into the family. He returned to the White House, posing as “Fisherman Rick” from a parallel universe to make peace with the President—ending the farce with a well-crafted lie. When Rick showed up at the dinner table wearing one of Jerry’s ridiculous hats, Summer rolled her eyes, but Beth cracked a small smile.
