Tyreese and his teammates fought their way through the woods, taking down numerous walkers. The group escaped the woods and entered a residential area.
A male prisoner struck up a conversation with Beth. Carol warned the prisoner not to hit on Beth. The prisoner mistakenly assumed Carol was a lesbian and that was why she was intervening to protect Beth—but Carol only had short hair, not a same-sex orientation. When the prisoner realized Carol was straight, he lit up with delight and tried to talk to her, only for Carol to warn him not to even think about hitting on her either.
Rick led several teammates in sneaking into the sanctuary. The group slipped into a building and hid, but one of the Governor’s men soon entered the building, already aware that intruders had snuck in. Rick and his teammates joined forces to subdue the Governor’s man.
Glenn and Maggie knelt on the ground, facing imminent death. The Governor had finished preparing to head to the prison, and Merle reminded him not to harm Daryl.
Rick led his men to the room adjacent to where Glenn and Maggie were being held. Merle and his companions were caught off guard by the sudden attack from Rick’s group. Rick’s team set off a smoke grenade and used the chaos to rescue Glenn and Maggie.
Michonne entered the room where the Governor kept his daughter confined. The living room of the room was lined with glass water tanks, and Michonne stared in shock at the walker heads floating inside them.
The Governor’s daughter, locked in a small dark room, sensed someone in the living room. Michonne initially thought the Governor’s daughter was a normal little girl—until she removed the hood from the girl’s head and realized she had turned into a walker.
Just as Michonne was about to swing her sword to kill the Governor’s daughter, the Governor arrived just in time to confront her. Determined to protect his daughter, he proactively took off his pistol and threw it to the ground. But Michonne refused to spare her even after the Governor showed weakness; she drove her sword through the Governor’s daughter’s mouth, killing her.
Grief-stricken over his daughter’s death, the Governor lashed out at Michonne in a frenzy. The two fought in the room, crashing into and shattering the glass water tanks. Michonne picked up a sharp shard of glass and stabbed the Governor in the eye. Andrea arrived just in time, drawing her gun and aiming it at Michonne. Michonne then left the Governor behind and rejoined Rick’s team.
After having his wound bandaged, the Governor went to the playground to speak to the residents. He claimed Rick’s team had snuck into the sanctuary and harmed his interests, and announced his decision to take revenge on Rick’s group. Unaware of the full truth, the residents raised their arms and cheered, voicing their support for the Governor’s vengeance. Andrea had once been part of Rick’s team, and with the Governor about to head to the prison for revenge, she was filled with anxiety, unsure of what to do.
