The Mexican cartel sent men to rob Gus’s drug transport vehicle, and Gus’s guards were shot dead.

Skyler was extremely worried about Walter’s safety, fearing that Gus would kill Walter someday. She urged Walter to go to the police, but Walter refused. Skyler left in anger. Walter prepared to apologize to Skyler, only to find she had already left.

Walter went to the car dealership to pick up the keys, and the car wash owner told him that as the boss, he needed to be tough. Mike found Jesse and had dinner with him. Walter ate at home with his son, but Skyler was not there. Walter bought a red sports car for his son as a birthday gift, and his son was overjoyed.

Jesse waited for Walter at the lab entrance. Walter asked Jesse for details about what happened when he was with Mike that day, and Jesse told Walter that he had saved Mike’s life that day. Walter dismissed Jesse’s involvement in Mike’s operation, believing it was a trap set by Gus to create a rift between them.

When Walter arrived at the lab and found it in a mess, he hired a laundry worker to clean it for him—a move to protest against Gus.

Skyler, distraught, drove to the Four Corners Monument to decide her future. In the end, she still chose to stay by Walter’s side to take care of the family. Mike and Jesse were having dinner when Gus showed up. Mike reported to him about the drug robbery incident, and Gus decided to negotiate with the Mexicans. Jesse asked Gus why he had assigned him to work with Mike, and Gus said he trusted Jesse.

Skyler returned home and found the sports car Walter had bought for their son. She was furious at Walter for making such a reckless decision and ordered him to return the car. Walter tried to explain, but Skyler said she was tired of Walter’s constant lies.
