Fearing Jesse was dead, Walter drove around frantically searching for him. He called Saul for help and also phoned Skyler. When Walter drove to Gus’s fast-food restaurant, he received a call from Mike, who told him Jesse was out on a job with him. Walter broke into Gus’s office to find him, only to discover Gus wasn’t there. Jesse thought Mike was going to kill him, but Mike was actually just taking him to pick up supplies.
Hank’s colleague Tim brought him relevant files on Gale’s case. Hank mentioned he knew the two people connected to the case were Jesse and Bager. After collecting the money, Jesse asked Mike to give him a gun, but Mike refused.
Mike took Jesse around to collect goods and money, and Jesse found it extremely boring. Mike didn’t communicate with Jesse at all and even scolded him midway. Walter worked alone in the lab; after work, he completed the handover procedures for the car wash with Skyler.
Skyler heard the message Walter had left her that morning, and the two immediately got into bed to rekindle their relationship. When their son came home, Skyler suggested Walter move back in, but Walter refused for safety reasons.
Walter waited in the lab for Jesse to return, only to find Jesse hadn’t come back. Jesse and Mike were still out collecting money, and Jesse was bored out of his mind. Suddenly, robbers appeared. Jesse immediately reversed the car and hit the robbers, which made Mike look at him with newfound respect.
Walter got up early and made a cup of coffee for his son; he was very satisfied with his current life. When Walter returned to the lab, he found Jesse had already come back. Walter asked Jesse about his whereabouts the previous night, and Jesse said he was now working two jobs.
It turned out all of this was Gus’s plan—he wanted to drive a wedge between Walter and Jesse. Walter and Skyler went to Hank’s house for a gathering, and everyone talked about the car wash business.
