The Cali Cartel was a nearly perfect organism, having run their drug operation seamlessly according to their own plans for a long time. However, all plans have their oversights—their drug lab in New York exploded due to improper operation, giving the DEA an opening.

Jorge, Ferguson, and Chris agreed to meet in a secluded location. Jorge revealed his identity as the Cali Cartel’s head of security, offering to testify against Gilberto in court for the DEA. His condition was that his family be brought to the United States and granted immunity.

Ferguson and Chris demanded he help them apprehend Miguel. Jorge explained that while he designed the Cartel’s security system, Miguel’s personal security was handled by his son David—even he didn’t know Miguel’s whereabouts. Even if he did, the DEA had no one trustworthy to make the arrest, as both the police and military had been bribed by the Cali Cartel.

Ferguson and Chris insisted Jorge help them catch Miguel, arguing otherwise the collaboration was meaningless. Jorge agreed to think it over. Ferguson asked why Jorge had chosen to cooperate with the DEA. Jorge replied he was not a murderer—he just wanted to get his family out. Chris believed they had found a major breakthrough, but Ferguson thought it was not that simple. After returning, Jorge arranged security as usual. David nitpicked his work, demanding all security personnel be fully armed.

A subordinate asked Jorge why he hadn’t told David about the DEA agents in Cali. Jorge stated the last thing they needed was their men killing DEA agents, so they would monitor the agents themselves.

The New York explosion unsettled Zippy. Soon, news broke that a large-scale organization was linked to the incident, with further investigations imminent. Zippy had planned to leave with his wife but decided to stay and look into the matter. Nicholas met with Miguel to inform him of the newly negotiated agreement and suggested eliminating accountant Palomari. Miguel deemed the risk of removing Palomari too high and decided Jorge would relocate him temporarily.

After Nicholas left, David erupted in dissatisfaction, urging Miguel to replace Gilberto as the Cali Cartel’s leader and attend a local ball. Meanwhile, Evio from the North Valley Cartel approached Marido, persuading him to collaborate with North Valley. When David told Jorge that Miguel would attend the gathering, Jorge seized the opportunity to notify Chris and Ferguson. The two received Jorge’s information but remained skeptical of his tip.

With the assistance of Somali Island police, Pena successfully arrested Eduardo. He tried relentlessly to convince Eduardo to testify against Gilberto, who agreed on the condition that he see his wife first.

Cristina returned home to find police at her door and hurried back to her beauty salon. Unable to find news of Eduardo at the hotel, she turned to Pena for help. Pena told her to rush to the U.S. Embassy. On her way there, Cristina was abducted by Cali Cartel members.

Zippy met with the editor-in-chief covering the explosion, attempting to persuade him to drop further pursuit of the story. When the editor-in-chief refused, Zippy shot and killed him cruelly. Miguel arrived at the ball, where David revelled in the admiration of others.

Jorge met Ferguson in the bathroom. Learning they hadn’t brought any backup, he told them to leave immediately. Gunfire erupted at the ball, targeting Miguel specifically—North Valley drug lords sought to wipe out the Cali Cartel in one fell swoop. Jorge and David escorted Miguel to safety amid the gunfire. Impressed by Jorge’s loyalty, Miguel handed over full responsibility for his security to him.

At the same time, Bacho also came under heavy attack but narrowly survived the fierce battle. Jorge went to Ferguson’s residence to confront them about not bringing backup. Ferguson explained they had been unsure of his true intentions. Jorge told them about the Cali Cartel’s murder of the former security chief, reiterating he only wanted to get his family out. He left them a modified phone, saying no one could intercept their calls.

That night, Jorge returned home to a worried wife. He told her about his deal with the DEA, which she firmly opposed. Eduardo refused to cooperate with Pena after failing to see his wife. Eduardo’s lawyer informed Pena that Cristina had met with Cali Cartel members, dashing all hopes of getting Eduardo to testify against the Cartel. Miguel viewed North Valley’s raid as a declaration of war. Upon learning of the incident, Gilberto called Miguel, urging him to stay calm and not provoke a war—but Miguel refused to listen.
