Skyler researches money laundering processes at home while Walter teaches their son to drive. Skyler insists on joining Walter’s operation, but he refuses to involve her. Skyler points out that their divorce was never finalized—the divorce papers never took effect.
Walter wants to move back home, but Skyler disagrees. She finally compromises: Walter can stay at home four days a week, which makes Walter overjoyed.
Jesse is working in the lab and invites Walter for a drink after work, but Walter declines. The two end up chatting at a bar. Jesse tells Walter that Gus ordered Combo’s murder and vows to avenge his friend. Walter urges him not to resist Gus, but Jesse is determined to go through with it. Walter warns that if Jesse gets caught, he won’t be able to help.
Hank is hospitalized, and Marie and Walter’s son play cards with him. Hank is deeply depressed about his condition, and Walter’s son comforts him.
Walter and Saul wait for Jesse at Saul’s office, but he never shows up. Both are worried that Jesse will retaliate against Gus, which would get everyone into trouble.
Walter suggests Saul find a way to have Jesse arrested—so he can’t act out. Jesse meets a prostitute, hoping she can help him get close to Gus’s men.
Walter is taking care of their daughter at home when someone knocks on the door. It’s Saul’s associate, who explains that locking Jesse up is unfeasible—Gus would never let his employee go to jail. Gus uncovers Jesse’s plan and takes him to the desert. Walter is also present. Gus urges Jesse to make peace with his men, but Jesse resists.
Jesse complains to Gus about using children for drug-related business. Gus orders his men to never involve kids again. Jesse pretends to concede, but he’s still seething with anger.
Marie is caring for Hank in the hospital. She urges him to continue rehabilitation at home, as the hospital costs are too high. Hank finally agrees, tempted by Marie’s persuasion.
Walter realizes Jesse will act on his own no matter what. He immediately drives out and runs over the two men Jesse intended to kill.
